home away from home tour

I must admit I left this concert very impressed. Drake had a fellow native from Toronto, Canada open up for him called K-os. He is ill in every sense of the word. He beat boxes, spits poetry into words, can hold a note, and puts on one hell of a show. And, Drake... I never knew he had it in him. He kept everyone on their feet, hands in the air for the entire show. He even chanted, "When I say Young Money, you say Free Weezy" and at that point, everyone went crrraazzzyyyy. Apparently, Orlando was the highest attendance show on this tour, so he recorded the crowd singing Lil Wayne's verse to "Im Goin In" which is supposed to be played on the only radio station he is allowed to listen to at Riker's Island, Hot 97. At one point in the track, it started to skip so Drake told the DJ to stop the beat and he finished the song acapella. The show was exceptional and I would definitely go see him again. His new album, Thank Me Later drops June 15, and based on his performance tonight, it is obvious that his career is far from over.
